With the new Google Drive for desktop update, Alfred stopped working. I rely heavily on Alfred to find files, to move to deep folders quickly etc.
For reference here is the version I am using:
I think reason it doesn’t work is because Spotlight doesn’t index the drives anymore. You can solve this by running:
sudo mdutil -i on /Volumes/GoogleDrive*
This should output something like:
/System/Volumes/Data/Volumes/GoogleDrive:
Indexing enabled.
Unfortunately you have to do this every time you reboot your computer. Yeah, I know :/

Thanks Johan! This has been a problem for me since version 49. I’ve been manually enabling indexing each time, but it just takes so long to index all my files. My workflow has completely gone for a toss!
